Waiting For The REAL PARTNER part III

In the previous posts Waiting For The REAL PARTNER part 1 and Waiting For The REAL PARTNER part II, I mentioned some of the preparations one need to prepare yourself before hitting in for marriage.... There are the last but not the least preparations I've got on my list.

4. EMOTIONAL PREPARATION: Be ready to face the challenges you may come across in your marriage. Marriage is not rosy all the time; you may have some tough times. Be prepared to handle any challenge that comes your way. Be ready to pray when problems come. Men love woman who can pray but afraid of those chicken hearted women who cry every time they have difficulties.

5. PHYSICAL PREPARATION: You must be ready physically. Know the basics of simple personal hygiene. Be a good home keeper, be a virtuous woman (Proverb 31). Be neat, diligent, respectful, avoid laziness, dress well and above all be a good cook, learn how to cook if you don't know how to. Be modest in your appearance, don't wear shabby clothes. Your hair should be neat at all times. Look like a godly woman and when you meet your partner, be friendly to him or her, and don't be rude.

Thanks and God bless you for reading.

Waiting For The REAL PARTNER part II

In Waiting For The REAL PARTNER part 1, I talked about how spiritual preparation help in getting the right partner.... Here I continue with how to prepare for the right partner.

2. FINANCIAL PREPARATION

You must have a good source of livelihood; All sisters should know that no man wants to marry a liability. Both partner should contribute financially to the home. So, it's important that you are gainfully employed. Get a formal education or acquire a skill, set up a business. These days, men are no longer sole bread winners of the family; they need support from the woman.

So, if you are industrious and resourceful as a woman, you will be an asset to a godly responsible man. God Himself will give you an ideal husband.

3. SOCIAL PREPARATION

Your social life has to do with your relationship with others.
Christianity has to do with your relationship with God and people around you. Cultivate a good rapport with people, do not isolate yourself. Impact in the lives of people around you positively. Be sociable, be cheerful, be accommodating and be humble, because it is your character that will attract the opposite sex to you or repel him/her! Keep yourself pure.

Waiting For The REAL PARTNER part 1

A lot of singles rush into marriage because of parental pressure, age, social status, infatuation, even though it is not Gods desire for them. Some get married because their younger ones are married, therefore they cannot wait for God anymore, so they get married to any available partner.

Being single doesn't mean something is wrong with you or that you are a failure in life or God has forgotten you. God wants you to be married even more than you desire it.

It is necessary that you must be prepared for marriage before the right person locates you.
Your preparation for marriage must be all round spiritual, physical, emotional, social and financially.

SPIRITUAL PREPARATION:
You must be prepared spiritually so that you don't marry the wrong person. Marriage is ordained by God and it is more of spiritual than the physical. Therefore the spiritual preparation is very important. Develop a close relationship with God, accept him into your life and make your relationship with intimacy. Study God's words regularly, read Christian books, be dedicated to the service of God and trust in God to give you an ideal husband/wife.

As you do this, God begins to reveal to you, your ideal partner. Since human beings are difficult to understand, it is only God that sees the heart of Everyman, it is Him alone that can show you the ideal man/woman for your life. That's why you must rely on Him and you must be sincere with Him, don't keep a boyfriend/girlfriend somewhere and still ask God to show you the ideal partner. Don't play games with God.
